Emily Dickinson I'm a no-body poem

This is my reflection from her poem

In In this poem I think that the writer

is possibly lonely but then she finds someone

that is similar to her.She states that they are

no-bodies , which makes her happy because she isn't

lonely any more.

She then states how they will be banished if they are caught.

This makes me feel a bit sad because they have to stay in the

shadows.

In my mind it is actually quite good to be a no-body because you

are actually getting similar treatment that a famous person would

get because a famous person gets lots of attention but is judged if

they change and sometimes people forget that they have feelings.

But when you are a no-body you don't get attention but no-one

judges you because if you are to change something no-one

notices so it doesn't matter if you change.

  1. Good reflection Kirsten, your comments that the poet was possibly lonely, then found someone similar were interesting. And you are correct in what you say about fame, there IS a big downside which includes being judged for how you look and what you do and say.
Do you think famous people get lonely and long to find a friend who is similar like the author did?

    1. I think that sometimes famous people should focus on them-selves more and not care about what others think and they could possibly get lonely because they are spending more time focused on sport sing etc and not focusing on connecting their life together.
