My concrete poem

This week I have been doing some poems for literacy and this is my concrete one

To do a concrete poem you need to find a shape and write your poem in the shape.Your goal is basically to chose a shape that you can base your poem around.

  1. Great post Kirsten, thanks for telling us what a concrete poem is as I didn’t know!
I love the shape you chose because it matches your words so well it hints at the branch structure yet looks like a nice place for birds to find a home.
It also looks like an oak leaf already fallen that might go dancing and tumbling in the wind.
All together your poem is very evocative.
    Well done!
Were there other kinds of poems to choose from or did you all have to do a concrete one?

    1. Hi Jane
In the next three week we have to finish at least 10 poems because they need to go onto a Portfolio.
