Botanic gardens
At the Botanic Gardens we went and learnt about animals and tree.
We mainly looked at things like Native , Endemic , Introduced , Thriving , Endangered and Extinct
Native - Native means it is in this country but it is also in other countries
Introduced - Brought into this country
Endemic - Only in one country
Thriving - Doing great in life and not at risk of extinction
Endangered - They are at risk of dying out
Extinct - They have all died out and are know longer around
We also did some fun games like headbands - We put a picture of a tree or animal and had to guess it.
I was a Greater tailed but which is endemic to NZ but is Extinct.
